The Farmington School Custodians represents full- and part-time custodians and maintenance workers in the Farmington School District.
The Farmington School Custodians voted to start their Union and affiliate with AFT-NH in 2002. (See below to download a copy of our local constitution.) Through the hard work of the members we were successful in having our first contract go into effect on July 1, 2003. We were able to establish a salary schedule with steps based on years of experience, gain longevity pay and secure our health insurance benefits. We have improved health and safety for our employees and have focused on such language in our contracts.
Our goal is to have all of our members involved and part of this effort. When we work together we can accomplish our goals of improved working conditions and fair pay and benefits. To find out how you can become active in your union, please contact your local Union President!
If you’re not yet a member, we invite you to join us today, so that you can access all of the benefits of membership. You’ll also have a voice in your contract, and in the direction of the union. To move ahead, we need YOU as an active member!
