Welcome! The Henniker Community School Support Staff represents the custodians, food service assistants, secretaries, health office assistants, library aide, computer lab assistant, student success center assistant, and educational aides at the Henniker Community School. We came together to form the union in 2003 so that together, we could have a stronger voice and negotiate a contract. (See Below to download a copy of our local constitution.) Our first collective bargaining agreement—the contract—went into effect on July 1, 2006. Since then, we’ve taken many steps forward in our working conditions, pay, and benefits. But there’s still more to be done. And you can help!
If you’re not yet a member, we invite you to join us today, so that you can access all of the benefits of membership. You’ll also have a voice in your contract, and the direction of the union. To move ahead, we need YOU as an active member!
If you’d like to get more involved, we are currently looking for people to join our committees. Please contact Brenda Varga, President, if you are interested in helping to improve communication with our members and outreach to the community. This isn’t a difficult job—but it is vital to our success as a union!
