Article 2 is a three-year contract and provides wage increases for paraeducators, custodians, and secretaries who work at the Ellis School in Fremont. The pay increases are essential to recruiting high quality staff and to avoid contracting out for positions at a cost of at least 2x that of a district employee.  Article 3 would provide for a special meeting if Article 2 is defeated This would save the district the cost and expense of petitioning the Superior Court for a special meeting.

AFT LOCAL #6245, AFT-NH, AFL-CIO

This contract covers school district cafeteria personnel and part-time paraeducators. This is a long overdue contract which provides pay raises for these employees. With the exception of a few full-time cafeteria personnel these paraeducator do not receive health insurance or pension benefits. This contract increases pay and provides for paraeducator positions at the middle and high school to be increased to 6.5 hours per day for paraeducators with access to a single health insurance plan. Article 4 is a three-year contract which provides for wage increases for first responders in the fire department, sergeants in the police department, and town hall employees. The focus is to provide a salary schedule that is competitive with surrounding towns and to recruit and retain excellent personnel for the town.  Article 5 would provide for a special town meeting if Article 4 is defeated.

AFT LOCAL #4796, AFT-NH, AFL-CIO

(Towns of Atkinson, Danville, Plaistow, and Sandown)

Article 3 represents a three-year contract for including but not limited to teachers, psychologists, school nurses, and related service providers. This local has had a difficult three years negotiating with the District. A more collaborative School Board has negotiated a contract with pay raises which will lift salaries for these members out of the bottom of the 17 comparable districts. There is truly a hiring and retention crisis which is causing consistent double digit vacancies for teaching positions.
