AFT-NH offers VSP Vision Care as a member-only benefit. Open enrollment begins September 30, 2024, and runs through October 24, 2024. Open enrollment is for any AFT-NH member or retired member interested in joining VSP Vision Care through AFT-NH.
If you already get VSP Vision Care through AFT-NH, you do NOT need to sign up again; pay your invoice when it arrives in your mail in October. If you are not sure whether you get VSP Vision Care through AFT-NH or your employer, look at your check stub. If you are paying through a payroll deduction, it is employer-provided.
AFT-NH VSP Vision Care covers:
- an annual eye exam with only a $10 copay
- a $25 copay on eyeglasses
- an allowance of $120 towards the cost of eyeglass frames/contact lenses
- discounts on lens coatings and enhancements (see example)

- Essential medical eyecare to manage specific medical issues.
- VSP has a wide network of participating eye doctors.

AFT-NH bills annually, in one lump sum, for our VSP Vision Care plan. Below are the new plan year rates, which start November 1, 2024, and run through October 31, 2025. The entire amount is due in one payment and must be postmarked by October 31, 2024, to be enrolled or renewed for November 1, 2024. To keep our costs low for administering plan enrollment and billing, we need everyone to pay in full and on time by October 31, 2024. Make checks payable to: AFT-NH VSP.
